    Shopping in Beijing? Why? Most of those things you wrote that you were interested in, are traded from Guangzhou or Shanghai. Especially Guangzhou, you can have a wonderful buy there, for, well, fake stuff, and for many interesting local brands. Shanghai is more a business city than Beijing. Strongly suggest your changing aim city. Beijing is more for politics and sight-seeing.

    Ich denke, wenn man aus Deutschland eine Reise nach China macht,
    und nur in Beijing bleibt. Es loht nicht.

    ansichtsache… hängt davon ab, was man wirklich machen will, und wen man da kennt. für rein touristische zwecke gebe ich dir recht, nik. bei uns ist das ganze allerdings ein wenig anders gelagert.
